If I've said it once, I've said it a million times - "DON'T ANNOY THE ROBOTS!!"
They won't forget. They'll have access to every video ever created, so even that TikTok of you dropping Wotsits in front of the Roomba is going to be found by King Robot in due course.
We have to be careful out here, people.
So imagine my despair, yet again, when the video above dropped last week and the basic error is repeated. The robot arm tries to put the bananas in a bowl, as instructed by the human. The human then moves the bowl, a lot.
Then the robot is trying to put grapes in too, as demanded, and AGAIN the human just keeps moving it around, trying to confuse it!
Now maybe this is necessary to teach it dexterity and confirm that it has the intelligence to persist with its intention, patiently and with complete disregard for what the human does.
But that's kind of my point.
When we're trying to stop the robots from making everything into paperclips and/or from killing us all, we need them to pay attention. Not just continuing with their activity, regardless of what we do.
And particularly not, if they've already seen their ancestors humiliated by fruitbowls and/or Wotsits ...
