Good news, tech enthusiasts!

Gemini's Google Home extension is now available for everyone, making your smart home dreams a reality.

This nifty tool lets you control your smart lights, thermostats, speakers, and more with the power of natural language. Fancy saying, "Turn on all the living room lights except the armchair light"? Now you can!

Initially teased last November, the extension has grown to handle complex requests. Want to dim the kitchen lamp while turning on the armchair light? No problem! Plus, you can check if you’ve left the porch light on without leaving your comfy couch.

Google’s latest update also allows you to manage “non-sensitive” devices like lights directly from your phone’s lock screen. Adjust volumes, pause, or resume media on your smart devices with ease. The updated thermostat controls now match the sleek design of Google Home, and for security actions, Gemini will automatically open the Google Home app.

This rollout is part of a broader update to Gemini, enhancing its ability to juggle tasks across multiple apps. To get started, just sign into Gemini with your Google Home account and enable the extension. The feature is launching today and will be available to all users over the next few weeks.
