Have you ever wondered how well your large language models (LLMs) are performing?
If so, you're not alone. Many companies are using generative AI tools to enhance customer interactions, yet they often lack insight into the effectiveness of their LLMs. Enter Context.ai, a promising start-up that aims to revolutionise the way businesses interact with LLMs.
Launched earlier this year, Context.ai has recently secured a $3.5 million seed investment to further develop its innovative concept. CEO Henry Scott-Green and CTO Alex Gamble, both former Google employees, recognised the need for a service that measures the performance of LLMs.
"We’ve spoken to hundreds of developers who are building LLMs, and they have a really consistent set of problems. Those problems are that they don’t understand how people are using their model, and they don’t understand how their model is performing," says Scott-Green.
Context.ai is akin to product analytics tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel, but it focuses on analysing data generated by LLMs to determine if they're producing useful content. The company's goal is to help businesses build more effective models.
The process is simple: customers share chat transcripts with Context.ai via an API. The company then uses natural language processing (NLP) to analyse the information, group and tag conversations based on topic, and assess each conversation to determine customer satisfaction.
"We believe there is a big shift happening [with the rise of LLMs], and there’s going to be a huge number of these chat experiences built over the next few years," Scott-Green predicts.
Context.ai is already generating interest and has paying customers. The company is also committed to diversity and inclusivity, striving to build a representative team as it grows.
The $3.5 million investment in Context.ai was co-led by GV (Google’s venture arm) and Theory Ventures, indicating strong belief in the start-up's potential. As LLMs continue to rise in popularity, Context.ai's services could become indispensable for businesses looking to optimise their AI interactions. Stay tuned for more updates from this exciting start-up!
